![]() ![]() Skins: Ice skin for archers is particularly useful, as it can slow down the movement speed of enemy's units (And a player-controlled unit can even freeze the enemy's unit for a short time, making it more vulnerable), but the strategy should be viable for default skin as well. Most of the time I have won with such strategy, but it usually takes a significant amount of time, as unit buildup is an integral part of it. Otherwise, just the same stuff: let the archers kill enemy soldiers with arrow rain, target the economical backbone of enemy's army (miners), pull back and micromanage when enemy units garrison or start to be overwhelming - rinse and repeat. If Cyrus uses a statue spell, once again pull your units back, so that they stay away from the range of statue's laser. Late game: If statue is half-destroyed and starts taking reduced damage, it is a sign that Cyrus is going to call in reinforcements - in this case, switch units to ''defend'' mode, in order to escape from the fire of castle archers, and prepare for the Cyrus army. Do the same tactic again and again, until Cyrus statue has only half of the hp left. When Cyrus units switch to garrison mode and bring out the castle archers, order the archidons to pull back (perhaps with a single player-controlled unit to deal additional damage to statue and keep the enemy units garrisoned, in order to buy more time for replenishing archidon units, if you have lost any), and wait for a while before switching back to ''attack'' mode, so that Cyrus could bring more units for your archers to kill, before they garrison again. Magikill and giants are particularly dangerous in that regard, as they can stun your units and easily kill them, so pick an archidon to micromanage after you see a magikill or giant, in order to inflict more damage (headshots obviously do the most damage). Your units will pelt Cyrus armies with rain of arrows, but you also need to adapt to the situation accordingly - if enemy units break through your attack and start killing your units, fall back for a better firing position, and perhaps sacrifice a few individual units to hold off the enemy units. Mid game: When you feel confident about the size of your army (or have reached the unit limit), go into the offensive mode. ![]() If you feel, that you are getting overwhelmed by Cyrus army, switch to ''garrison'' mode in order to get your units to safety and get provided fire by castle archers at the same time, pick one of the archidons to player-control, in order to deal additional damage and hold off enemy units from attacking the statue. In case if Cyrus uses archidon spell, micro your archidon units by repeatedly switching from ''defend'' to ''attack'' mode, in order to not attack the enemy too early, while also saving as much of archidons as possible (arrows deal bigger damage from the back). Don't go on offensive, but instead build up your archer army, and stay on ''defend'' mode after some buildup, you should have enough archers to not need micromanaging anymore, and instead select a miner to player-control, in order to mine faster. You will need to micromanage a lot with a single archidon unit during the early game, as Cyrus will constantly send swordwrath units towards you, but the additional damage when player-controlling an unit should do the trick. Then, put all of that gold towards archers instead. At first, put all of your gold for creating miners (4-6 should be good enough). Dump the rest of points into maxxing out statue's passive income, maxxing out castle archers, and maxxing out both upgrades for miners.Įarly game: With your starting gold, create a single archer and a single miner. Upgrade points: Max out Archidon unit with the upgrade points - archidon should be the only offensive unit in which you put points in. Alright, here's my general strategy for the tournament, but I hope that it will be useful for you as well.Īvatar: Pick the archidon avatar, as that extra 180% damage will come in handy when controlling the unit, and the strategy relies on archers.
